Artist Kira Freije brings metal, fabric, plaster and found materials together to create sculptures that feel strangely human.
Working intuitively, Freije casts parts of her own body alongside the faces of people close to her, allowing figures to slowly emerge in the studio. She reflects on embracing the unknown, making works in relation to one another and the feelings she hopes they might evoke in those who encounter them.
